在大兴安岭林区,由于大面积的皆伐或火烧,在地下水位较高的低洼地区形成了大面积的水湿地.就水湿地来说,水分多、养分多、土壤空气少,树木很难生长.那么,如何利用和改造水湿地就成为摆在我们林业工作者面前的重要课题.目前,各林业局通常的做法是:在水湿地上用机械整地,打出大垄,规格为50×50厘米~100×100厘米不等,垄沟内排水或存水,垄台上栽植兴安落叶松.从栽植的落叶松的生长状况来看,有的生长良好,有的生长不良,甚至死亡.分析其原因:从垄台提供给兴安落叶松的土壤空间(垄大土壤空间就大些,垄小土壤空间就小些)来看,树木在达到中龄林以前,这个空间是可以维持落叶松生长的,但到中龄林以后,这个空间就难以满足落叶松
