OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effects of lead, zinc and cadmium exposure on the blood system in rats and the effect of nutrition intervention on their injury. Methods: Seventy-two Wistar rats were randomly divided into control group, exposure group and intervention group. The rats were treated with saline, Pb, Zn and Cd combined with exposure solution and nutrition solution for 28 days And 56 days later, to detect five elements and blood cells in the blood system. Results: Compared with the control group, the content of blood copper and blood zinc and the content of serum calcium were lower in the exposed group than those in the control group (P <0.05). The content of copper in the exposed group was higher than that in the intervention group (P <0.05). The RBC count, hemoglobin (Hb) and hematocrit (HCT) in the intervention group were higher than those in the intervention group, the differences were statistically significant (P <0.05). The count of white blood cells (WBC) in control group was higher than that in control group and intervention group (P <0.05). CONCLUSION: Lead and cadmium have effects on blood copper, blood calcium and blood zinc levels in rats. The comprehensive nutritional intervention has a significant antagonistic effect on the blood system damage caused by heavy metal elements, and has some protection and repair effects on the blood system.
