I am 7 years old, more than 30 miles away from home in the county high school freshman year. One late autumn night, I was lying in bed reading a foreign essay, a story of which touched me deeply. Jack was a child away from his parents. At the Thanksgiving for the age of 16, he suddenly realized he had grown up. He thought of gratitude. So, despite the snow drifting from the window, he rushed home overnight and told his parents he loved them. As he imagined, the mother opened the door, he said piously: “Mom, today is Thanksgiving, I specifically came back to thank you, thank you for giving me life! ”
