In view of the increased probability of recurrent cerebral ischemic events in patients presenting with mitral valve prolapse in the study, the authors, based on the community population of Olm-sted, Minnesota, USA, explored the first ischemic episodes of mitral valve prolapse diagnosed by echocardiography Risk of recurrent stroke after stroke or TIA.
