The 2003 China Sea-Level Gazette recently released by the State Oceanic Administration pointed out that the average coastal sea level in China last year was 60 mm higher than the normal level. It is estimated that such increase will continue and will seriously affect the environmental and socio-economic development of the coastal areas in China.
