湖南新龙矿业有限责任公司于2003年11月由原湖南省龙山金锑矿整体改制而成,矿山有着100多年的开采史,现已发展成集金、锑、钨等有色金属矿的探、采、选、加工及销售为一体的国有矿业企业,是邵阳市的骨干企业之一、新邵县域经济的龙头企业。该公司以安全生产标准化持续改进为主线,从强化安全生产责任制完善、现场安全管理、安全教育培训、应急救援体系及安全保障系统建设等方面入手,逐步推进各项安全管理工作,员工安全意识得到较大提高,安全生产形势保持稳定。
