美国作家约翰·威廉斯在上世纪六十年代出版的小说《斯通纳》在当时并没有受到太大的关注,直到五十年后的今天才被重新发掘并成为了横扫欧洲的畅销书,究其原因除了小说的出版与当时的时代精神相背离外,更重要的似乎是小说的人物个性随着时间的推移越来越趋近现今人们的生活常态和当代审美,这种现象的出现与作者的叙事设置是分不开的。本文结合叙事学的相关理论对《斯通纳》进行叙事技巧的分析,以探析小说何以在当世重新迎来大批读者阅读

Based on the relevant theories of narratology, this article analyzes Stoner’s narrative skills to explore why novels can welcome a large number of readers in the world
