Tianjin Port is the earliest container port in mainland China. In 1975, Tianjin Port began construction of container terminals, completed and put into operation in 1981. This is the first container-only deepwater berth for China’s mainland and the first container-dedicated terminal designed and constructed by our country. It can be said that Tianjin Port is the cradle of the development of container transport in mainland China. Container transport was originally raised in the United States. March 19, 1921, the New York-based rail transportation company pioneered the Cleveland-Chicago container shipping line, which was the first in the world to start using container transport
