在万民喜迎元霄佳节的爆竹声中,由河北师范学院、河北省文化厅、河北省社会科学院主办的首届海峡两岸元曲研讨会,经过一年有余的筹备,于2月8日至2月11日在河北省省会石家庄市国际大厦隆重举行。出席这次研讨会的有来自海峡两岸的120余名专家学者。中共中央政治局常委、中央书记处书记李瑞环为研讨会题词:“综论元曲源流,弘扬华夏文明——祝首届海峡两岸元曲研讨会开幕”。河北省政协主席、中国关汉卿研究会名誉会长李文珊和河北省副省长、中国关汉卿研究会名誉会长王祖武出席了开幕式,李文珊发表了热情洋溢的讲话,对与会的海峡两岸的专家学者和外国代表表示热烈欢迎。王祖武在元宵佳节的晚上,亲切地会见并宴请了台湾代表和外国朋友。

Li Wenshan, honorary president of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and the honorary president of the Chinese Research Academy of Guan Hanqing, and Wang Zuwu, vice governor of Hebei Province and Honorary President of the Chinese Research Association for the Guan Hanqing attended the opening ceremony. Li Wenshan delivered a warm speech to all participating experts and scholars on both sides of the Taiwan Strait Foreign delegates extended a warm welcome. On the evening of the Lantern Festival, Wang Zuwu cordially met and hosted Taiwan representatives and foreign friends.
