At the invitation of Dr. Albert East Simon of the University of Hawaii at the University of Hawaii and Dr Elizabeth Wickman, director of the Theater Department, with the approval of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Culture and the Provincial People’s Government, our delegation of three arrived in the Pacific Ocean in August 1989, Central Honolulu, capital of the Hawaiian Islands, opened the first page of a professor’s Peking Opera “Yutang Spring.” As long as a full two hundred days day and night, we and the University of Hawaii teachers and students live day and night, live together, and forged a memorable and profound friendship.
