邹韬奋先生是本刊的老朋友,也可说是本刊的创办人之一。抗战前几年,他漫游海外,差不多每期给本刊寄文章来,深受广大读者的欢迎。抗战军兴,韬奋奔走国事,就很少为本刊执笔;而本刊辗转迁徙,终因太平洋战争的爆发停刊数年。前年日本投降,本刊回沪重行与读者相见,谁知韬奋先生竟已悄然离开了人间。光阴荏苒,忽忽已是韬奋逝世的三周年了。我们既悲故人离我之日远,更痛人民受祸的日深。郭先生此文,生动地写出了韬奋先生的精神笑貌,读罢令人泣然。是的,韬奋不愧为一个文化的战士,他坚毅的精神是不朽的,它将活在人民永恒的记忆里。
