Bharatti Mukilji is another Indian-English writer who shines in Anglo-American literature after Naipaul and Rushdie. His masterpiece “Zhan Si Min” reflects Mukherjee’s new third-world women’s poetic poetic characteristics. Like Hindu goddess Kali, the novel’s heroine, Zhan Si Min, subverts the essentially identity of “subordinate” class women in an ever-changing way, countering the cultural hegemony of colonialism, patriarchal power and bourgeois exploitation . Zhan Si-min’s ethnic identity, female awareness and class concept are inextricably linked, reflecting the psychological trajectory of her adversity. Mukilji advocated the new poetic poetics, although there are some limitations, but for the “subordinate” class female dispersers provide an effective anti-discourse strategy.
