探讨水稻芽期、苗期、孕穗期、抽穗期受低温危害气温指标的目的,在于掌握水稻适宜播插期,避开不利气温条件的影响,保证安全播种、安全孕穗和安全抽穗,达到双季稻丰产,为生产提供科学依据。试验地点在福州北门省蚕桑研究所冷库。供试品种有四优二号、红410等。采用盆栽,苗期每盆30苗,孕穗期和抽穗期每盆插秧4丛,每丛2~5苗,重复2~4次。当稻株进入不同生育期时,点上记号或挂上纸牌,孕穗期以剑叶与下一叶叶枕距离±3厘米时为标准,注明日期,分别送进不同低温室内处理若干天,然后取出放在室外自然气温条件下生长,并考查其死苗率和结实率。低温室内装有日光灯、白炽灯。光照强度:苗期和孕穗期为350~400勒克斯,抽穗期为6,000~7,000勒克斯。并安放自记温、湿度计各一架。
