Peter Kerr-Dineen, co-chairman of charter broker firm How Robinson, will chair the Baltic Stock Exchange of London this summer after his retirement from Peter Kitching. Anthony Fisher, chairman of the Chartered Institute of Societies, James Fisher & Son, Bidcorp and director of the West England Shipowners Association, will take over as vice chair. The two will take on their new role at the London Baltic Exchange on July 10. The Baltic Exchange is a self-governing shipping market in London. Its purpose is to maintain professional standards, resolve disputes and provide market information. The exchange said its members deal with about 30% of the global dry bulk shipping market transactions and 50% of the tanker market transactions. In addition, more than half of new and second-hand ships in the world are traded by their members.
