Selected Works of the White, edited by Mei Weiheng, compiled by Uemura and translation of Min Faude and Liu Shaoming four English translation anthologies is the masterpiece of the English translation of Chinese classical literature. The white anthology reflects how the editor reconstructs the Chinese literary tradition through literary translation under the control of ideology. The anthologies of Mei Weiheng and Yu Wenshi reconstruct the Chinese literary tradition by giving full play to the translator’s subjectivity. Min Fude and Liu Shaoming The anthology reflects the important role Chinese scholars play in the English translation of classical Chinese books and will surely become a reference model for future literary translation.
