职业学校的英语课是一门文化基础课,既要向学生传授英语语言知识,提高学生人文素养,又要培养学生在今后从事的行业中恰当运用专门用途英语的能力。在全球化背景下,提高学生跨文化能力是外语教学的重要内容之一。文章提出了在职校英语教学中应渗透跨文化教育,从而提高职校学生职业英语运用能力的主张。
English classes in vocational schools are a basic course in culture. They not only teach English language knowledge to students, improve students ’humanistic accomplishments, but also cultivate students’ ability to properly use English for specific purposes in the industries they are engaged in. In the context of globalization, improving students’ intercultural competence is an important part of foreign language teaching. The article puts forward the suggestion that we should penetrate intercultural education in vocational English teaching so as to improve the vocational English ability of vocational school students.
