Parathyroid glands have large variations in location and fragile blood supply. They have similarities in morphology with fat granules or lymph nodes. Therefore, they are easily mistaken for thyroid cancer and central group lymphadenectomy or cause their blood supply to be destroyed. Post hypoparathyroidism has severely affected the quality of life of patients. How to confirm the paraneoplastic damage and protect the function of the parathyroid is a problem that thyroid surgeons pay close attention to; in the central group lymph node dissection, routine parathyroid autotransplantation to prevent hypoparathyroidism remains controversial; use of nano-carbon to avoid paralysis Is there a significant significance for glandular injury? The authors reviewed this review to provide a reference for how to detect paraneoplastic lesions and better protect parathyroid function in central lymph node dissection.
