电大远程开放教育利用网络、远程教学等技术手段为学生提供了便利的学习平台,但面授辅导教学环节相对薄弱,使学生难于全面系统掌握知识内容。因而探索新的面授教学思想方法尤为重要。电大教学面授课是巩固和提升学生进一步掌握远程学习内容的一种方法,是与现代远程教育相结合的一种教育形式,它不同于一般大学的课堂教学,常常是课程内容较多而课时较少,学生基础水平又参差不齐,缺乏自信。针对这些特点,如何探索教学新方法是摆在电大每一位教师面前的课题,本文通过对电大开放教育成人学生特点和学习需求的分析,以《工程数学》课程教学为例谈谈自己的一些思考和作法。
