春节期间,因事到石家庄,偶然看了该市京剧团演出的一出新编历史故事戏《关羽斩子》。看后,觉得很好,无论剧本创作,导演处理,演员表演,都颇具新意。剧情的大致轮廓是: 荆州王关羽之子关兴,练马时误伤人命。苦主王妈妈错将关兴认为关平,遂告到当官。知县罗正惧关府权势,劝苦主罢诉。王妈妈欲告无门,悲忿不已。正欲自缢,恰被关府马官关彪所救,并引她径到寿堂鸣冤。关羽震怒,将关平交太守简雍从严审处。关平乃关羽之义子,为保关兴,隐匿真情,甘愿替罪。关夫人偷拜简雍,暗中求情。关羽闻知怒斥夫人,执意判斩。简雍急修书阆中,请张飞出面周旋。
