七月中旬,兴义县召开了一次农民文艺创作会議,这次会議是在县委宣傳部的直接领导下,由县文教局主持,与县文化館配合召开的。中国作家协会貴阳分会筹备委員会也派人参加了这次会議。这样的会議,在兴义县还是第一次召开。出席会議的代表,都是生产与工作上表现好的农民,和农民出身的乡、社领导干部。他們过去都是没有进过学堂門的文盲,或者是只读过几年小学的半文盲;文化都是解放后才学得的。但是,現在他們都具有一定的写作水平;不但擅长于编山歌、快板,写通讯、报导,也創作过剧本、小说,有的还写过长詩。他們大都在省内一些报刊上发表过文艺作品。
In mid-July, Xingyi County convened a peasant literary and art creation meeting under the direct leadership of the Propaganda Department of the county party committee. The meeting was presided over by the County Bureau of Education and held in conjunction with the County Cultural Center. Chinese Writers Guiyang Branch Preparatory Committee also sent to participate in the meeting. Such a meeting in Xingyi County is the first time. The representatives attending the meeting were all peasants who performed well in production and work, and the leading cadres of townships and communes originating from peasants. They used to be illiterate students who did not go to the door of the school, or half-illiterate who had only read primary school for a few years; culture was learned after liberation. However, now they all have a certain level of writing. Not only are they good at composing folk songs, Allegro, writing newsletters, writing stories, novels, and some have written long poems. Most of them published literary works in some newspapers and magazines in the province.
