随着教育改革的深化,我们教育工作者面临一个重要的课题、就是如何使教学从原来的应试教育向素质教育的转化,就地理学科来言,95年以前,一切服从高考,随高考指挥棒转,教师订资料,编练习,考学生,讲评试卷,补差生,只要求学生掌握现成的科学结论,积累更多的地理课本知识,以应付考试.95年后高中实行会考,并全县进行评比,逼得教师们仍然搞以上这一套,以应付会考.现在我们不能说应试教育不重要,但更重要的是培养下世纪的人材,因此素质教育尤显突出了.那么怎样才能在地理教学中逐渐完成从应试教育向素质教育转变呢?我们认为根据地理课的特点,重要的是抓能力培养,笔者在实践中认为应该做到以下几个方面:
