A set of neutron spherical optical potential parameters for ~(238~242)pu below 20 MeV is obtained by using the auto-searching optimum optical potential parameters code APFO96 based on latest available experimental data of total cross sections σ_t, nonelastic cross sections σ_(non) elastic differential cross sections σ_(el)(θ), and systematics. The calculated results of σ_t, σ_(non), σ_(el)(θ) for ~(238~242)pu are compared with available experimental data, CENDL-2 and other evaluated data files. Theoretical calculations and experimental data are in agreement fairly good. The set of neutron spherical optical potential parameters for ~(238~242)pu below 20 MeV are recommended for CENDL-3 actinides nuclei FUNF preequilibrium and equilibrium statistical calculations and evaluations.
