数学中的空间想象能力,是指对物体的形状、结构、大小、位置关系的想象能力,这也是数学学习的三六基本能力之一。小学阶段讨论的数学对象,主要是一维空间(线)和二维空间(面)的形式,有时也涉及三维空间的形式(如立方体、长方体)。空间想象能力是可以通过锻炼提升的,制作模型、学画画、搭积木、做手工等活动可以大幅度提高空间想象能力。我国最早的一部笑话专集《笑林》中,记载了不少诙谐的故事,其中有一则《执竿入城》的故事耐人寻味。这个故事是这样的:鲁国有个人拿着一根长竹竿进城门,开始是竖着拿的,不能进去;
