The State Administration for Industry and Commerce and the Ministry of Health have implemented the newly revised Administrative Measures for Medical Advertisements starting from January 1, 2007. Prior to this, on November 1, 2006, the State Administration for Industry and Commerce implemented a “banned publication” against the 12 medical advertisements issued by the General Administration of Press and Publication. The series of measures mentioned above shows that the determination of the relevant departments to beat illegal medical advertisements is the biggest beneficiary. It is undoubtedly ordinary people. Recently, Li Yang, a public health expert at the Beijing Municipal Health Inspection Institute and deputy director of the Institute, reminded people of the need to seek medical attention for safety: When they see a doctor for health, they must go to a regular medical institution when they see a doctor. They must also be aware of it everyday, and should be careful to identify and resist those who are illegitimate. Practice medical behavior.
