Post-operative arrhythmias are common complications after surgery for congenital heart defects.Automatic tachycardia,as opposed to re-entrant tachycardia,occur when certain cardiomyocytes depolarize faster than the sinus node.Atrial ectopic tachycardia (AET) and junctional ectopic tachycardia (JET) are two of the most common arrhythmias of this kind.
