气门座的磨损主要是粘接磨损和磨蚀磨损,含铅的粉末冶金材料在摩托车发动机运行温度下有足够的耐磨性。气门座的材料不同,设计技术要求也不同。随着摩托车发动机强化程度的提高,对气门座材料的要求更加苛刻,所采用的材料为合金铸铁基体强化型和粉末冶金硬质粒子型等材料。
