杜鲁门和邱吉尔于本月七、八两日在华盛顿举行了早经宣布的会谈。参加这次会谈的有美英两国的大批首脑人物。但是这个帝国主义集团显然十分重视的会谈并未能实现英国预期的目的——消除帝国主义侵略政策所遭遇的巨大困难,缓和侵略集团内部因此而日见扩大的分歧,并调整业巳到处碰壁的战争计划。一切事实证明,两国间根本的困难和矛盾完全没有得到解决。
Truman and Churchill held early announced talks in Washington on July 8 and 8 this month. The leaders of the United States and Britain who attended this meeting were numerous heads of state. However, the apparently important meeting of the imperialist group failed to achieve the intended purpose of the United Kingdom - eliminating the enormous difficulties encountered by the imperialist policy of aggression, easing the widening disagreements within the aggressor group and adjusting the industry to run aground War plan. All facts show that the fundamental difficulties and contradictions between the two countries have never been solved.
