设计是一种有目的的创作行为。在设计一词前加上艺术二字,其目的是表明具有形式美的设计内容才能称之为艺术设计。因此,艺术设计的创作行为有两个明确目的:一是理性的探索和发现;二是感性的形式美创作,概括起来就是科学与艺术的融合。第一个目的是致力于满足人类物质需求的同时,协调和改善人与物、自然的关系;第二个目的则是通过形式美的创新来实现艺术在设计中的社会功能。
Design is a purposeful creative act. In the design of the word before adding the word art, the purpose is to show that the design content of the formal beauty can be called art design. Therefore, there are two definite purposes for artistic creation: one is rational exploration and discovery; the other is aesthetic creation of sensibility, which is a combination of science and art. The first one aims at meeting the material needs of human beings and at the same time, coordinating and improving the relationship between people and things and nature. The second purpose is to realize the social function of art in design through the innovation of formal beauty.
