我原是第二军炮兵团第一营观测员。1943年夏驻军滇西祥云县青海滢。第二军(军长王凌云)属驻滇远征军十一集团军序列。是年秋后进军保山县一带参战,留下炮兵团原地整训待命。原因是该团所有苏联制7.62野战炮不适宜山地作战,而且炮弹补充困难,1944年夏炮团奉命改美式装备的7.5山炮(六匹马驮运),脱离第二军建制,改编为炮兵二十一
