近年来,为了顺应全世界课改潮流,我国的教育行政部门结合国际课改的大趋势提出了一项重大举措:“大力推进基础教育课程改革,调整和改革基础教育的课程体系、结构、内容,构建符合素质教育要求的新的基础教育课程体系。”走进21世纪,我国基础教育的首要任务应该是大力推进素质教育,培养具有全面综合素质的、适应国家和时代需求的人才。基础教育课程改革应以邓小平同志提出的“教育要面向现代化,面向世界,面向未来”重要思想作为航标,以“培养人”作为教育宗旨开展各项改革举措。语文作为学生学好其他课程的基础学科,是学生全面发展和终身发展的基础。语文素质的提高,在重视课堂常规学习之外还应做到听、说、读、写并重,走出课堂,向外延伸,走出大语文学习之路。阅读能力在人的一生发展过程中起着举足轻重的作用,人生时时在阅读,人生处处是阅读。上网是阅读,看电视是阅读,购物需要阅读,乘车需要阅读,看病需要阅读……衣食住行无一能离开阅读,这足见阅读在日常生活中至关重要的作用。
