In August 2016, Shaanxi Provincial Department of Culture declared that the “New Silk Road Journey - Research on Innovative Design and Dissemination Platform for Public Art of Xi’an Subway Transportation” undertaken by Xi’an Academy of Fine Arts was selected as a national cultural innovation project.
