一、品种特征 赣杂一号西瓜是我所西瓜研究室1985年育成的杂种一代,经1989年～1990年两年参加华东区试,产量比新澄杂交西瓜增产14％左右,同台湾新红宝相接近,居第二位。通过近几年在本市九江、德安、都昌及湖北、湖南、安庆等地较大面积的示范推广,表现具有明显的杂种优势,深受生产者和消费者的欢迎。 主要表现是:一般亩产2500～3000公斤,最高亩产可达4000～5000公斤。长势旺,抗逆性强,分枝较强,后期青秀老健不早衰;头瓜收获后,可留二茬瓜,每亩还可增收1000～1500公斤。座果率高,一般主蔓7节左右出现第一雌花,间隔7节后,出现第二雌花,平均单株座果1.5～2个,瓜果整齐一致。
