21世纪,是人类的科学与艺术结缘互补、和谐发展的新世纪。科学求真,为人类把握规律、探索真理开辟大道;艺术求美,而美是和谐,为人类认识真理营造良好的文化氛围。正是从这个意义上,当代大科学家、大艺术家、大哲学家的钱学森先生才站在人类科学与艺术交汇的峰巅上思考21世纪中华民族的科学、教育、文化、艺术诸课题。如同爱因斯坦、梁启超等伟人都曾为我们留下过宝贵的时代课题一样,他也为我们留下了值得深长思之并努力破解的时代课题。
The 21st century is a new century in which science and art of mankind complement each other and develop harmoniously. Scientific truth-seeking, grasp the law for mankind, explore the truth to open up the road; art for beauty, and beauty is harmony, to create a good cultural atmosphere for mankind to know the truth. It is in this sense that Qian Xuesen, a contemporary big scientist, big artist and philosopher, stands on the summit of human science and art to think about the science, education, culture and art of the 21st century Chinese nation. Like the great Einstein and Liang Qichao who once saved us precious time issues, he also left us a time-thinking project worth pondering and trying hard to crack.
