Intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma is derived from intrahepatic bile duct epithelial cells. There are few clinical reports and the incidence has increased in recent years. Its early diagnosis is difficult and the efficacy of surgery is poor. This article discusses 24 cases of intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma treated in our hospital from 1987 to June 1997, and discusses its causes, diagnosis and treatment.
