The emergence of some new IUDs is an effort to improve the outcome of IUDs. One such model is the Ypsilon, a silicone covered Y-shaped stainless steel IUD. Due to its maximum coverage of the endometrium, suitable for intrauterine use, leaving the pregnancy rate decreased, while reducing the side effects. According to Soichct’s earlier report, pregnancy rates, prolapse rates, and removal rates for medical reasons for this type of IUD are indeed lower. In November 1975 a comparative study of the Ypsilon and Lippes Loop D rings was started at the Family Planning Center at a medical university in Hungary, one of six family planning centers under extensive testing under the International Fertility Research Program. The test subjects were at least once births and 600 women were not yet pregnant. The original plan to test for 2 years, but due to Ypsilon IUD out rate higher
