According to world prevailing standards, an oil field with recoverable reserves of more than 500 million barrels is defined as a large oil field and a gas field with recoverable reserves of more than 3 × 10 12 ft 3 is defined as a large-scale gas field. During the period 1990-1-2003, a total of 37 large-scale oilfields and 40 large-scale gas fields were discovered in the world. The following briefly introduces the major oil and gas fields and their distribution. The Middle East and Asia discovered Azade in the area
