APEC自1989年成立以来,已举行过9次部长级会议和5次领导人非正式会议。其成员也从最初的12国扩大到目前的21国。为了实现APEC“维护亚太地区的经济,增进成员国的经济交往,发展和加强多边贸易体系”的宗旨,APEC成员国经过多次的协商和努力,最终确定了APEC的“三个支柱”,或者说
Since its establishment in 1989, APEC has held 9 ministerial-level meetings and 5 informal leadership summits. Its members have also expanded from the initial 12 countries to the current 21 countries. In order to achieve APEC’s mission of “safeguarding the economy in the Asia Pacific region, enhancing the economic exchanges among its member states, and developing and strengthening the multilateral trading system,” APEC member countries, after many consultations and efforts, have finalized the “three pillars” of APEC or Say
