根据内蒙古自治区人民委员会1958年9月20日报告,决定:一、设立赤峰市,市的行政区域为原赤峰县的赤峰镇为中心的附近地区和翁牛特旗、敖汉旗、喀喇沁旗的部分地区。二、撤销赤峰县,将所属地区分别划归赤峰市、翁牛特旗、克什克腾旗、喀喇沁旗。
According to the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region People’s Committee on September 20, 1958 report, the decision: First, the establishment of Chifeng City, the city’s administrative region of Chifeng County, formerly Chifeng town as the center of the area and the Weng Uit flag, Ao Han flag, harqin Parts of the flag. Second, the withdrawal of Chifeng County, their respective areas are assigned to Chifeng City, Wengniute Banner, Keshiketengqi, Kalaqin flag.
