In current air conditioning systems, the capacity of chilled water pumps is generally selected according to design conditions (ie maximum design cooling load) and the vast majority of water systems operate at annual fixed flow rates. However, the actual load on the air conditioning system is much lower than the design load (varies with season, day and night and other factors).
