1927年大革命失败后,中国共产党开始把工作重心由城市转向农村,实行工农武装割据,开辟革命根据地,并以星火燎原之势迅速发展壮大,在江西瑞金成立了中华苏维埃共和国临时中央政府。国民党惊恐万状,加紧了对中央苏区的军事“围剿”和经济封锁,双管齐下。共产党则针锋相对,一手抓军事斗争,一手抓经济建设,从两条战线展开反击。

After the failure of the Great Revolution in 1927, the Chinese Communist Party began to shift the focus of its work from the cities to the countryside, armed separatism among the workers and peasants, opening up a revolutionary base area and rapidly developing and expanding with the sparkling of a prairie fire. An interim central government of the Chinese Soviet Republic was established in Ruijin, Jiangxi. Kuomintang terrifiedly stepped up its military control of the Central Soviet Area and carried out a two-pronged approach with its economic blockade. The Communist Party, on the other hand, is diametrically opposed to one another in the military struggle and one hand in economic construction and counterattacks from both fronts.
