当前我国人造轻集料（陶粒）年产量约360万立方米,而且增长速度较快,其中绝大多数被用于制作轻集料混凝土小型空心砌块。加上利用天然轻集料、煤渣等工业废渣轻集料的混凝土砌块,目前全国轻集料混凝土小型空心砌块的总产量约在1500万立米左右。但是,从中国建筑砌块协会最近在呼和浩特市召开的“轻集料混凝土小型空心砌块生产应用技术交流研讨会”传出的信息,轻集料混凝土空心砌块的质量形势不容乐观。在最近进行的新型墙体材料产品质量国家监督抽查中,对两个省抽查轻集料小型空心砌块生产企业13家的13个产品,检测合格率仅为61.54％,而同时抽检的混凝土小型空心砌块,产品合格率是100％。
