培养有文化、懂技术、会经营的新型农民,一直是奇台县半截沟镇的重点工作之一。半截沟镇在为当地农民提供致富门路的同时,采取“四结合”方式,加大对当地人大代表的培训力度,增强其致富本领,从而带动周围农民致富。一是,与党员干部培训相结合。组织人大代表参加党员干部培训班,系统学习当前深入学习实践科学发展观活动的相关知识,使人大代表自觉履行职责,带动群众致富。二是,与科技之冬培训相结合。利用科技之冬培训之机,围绕县委确定的重点工作,采取集中授课、科技示范户现身说法、现场观摩、播放远程教育片等形式,组织人大代表学习牛羊育肥、果蔬种植等技术,增强代表带头致富的本领。至此,全镇共发展经济合作组织2个,建成养殖小区4个。
