金诵盘(1894—1958)出生于吴江县黎里镇杨墅村一个中医世家,祖父和父亲均以悬壶济世为业。金诵盘自小接受救世济民思想的熏陶,立志学医,普救众生。少年时期,金诵盘考入同济大学医学院,刻苦攻读,中西医融会贯通。在上海行医时,结识了以孙中山为首的革命党人,孙中山对他评价甚高,赠予“是医国手”的牌匾。孙中山创立黄埔军校,特聘金诵盘出任军医处处长,抗日战争时期,金诵盘挺身而出,在南京保卫战中担任第二救护
