对断裂蜗杆轴的显微组织、化学成分、力学性能及断口宏观形貌和微观组织进行观察和分析。结果表明,蜗杆轴外表面存在过深的加工刀痕,使零件渗碳淬火过程中由于内应力集中在刀痕根部产生裂纹,并在随后的汽车运行过程中,因方向机轴受扭力的作用造成裂纹扩展使蜗杆早期断裂。
