乔伊斯·卡洛尔·奥茨是美国当代著名的女作家,她的作品以性与暴力著称,题材广泛,受到国内外学者的广泛关注。本文首先从国内学者对奥茨作品的分析入手,分析暴力的来源,暴力对个人、社会造成的影响,以及女性角色。接着从国外研究者的角度分析了奥茨的部分作品,研究的方向主要分几大块:男权社会下的两性关系、作者的写作风格、作品中反映出的问题。最后解析了奥茨代表作《他们》,奥茨在作品中表现了人文主义和女性主义关怀。
Joyce Carroll Oates is a famous American contemporary writer. Her works are famous for her sexuality and violence. She has extensive topics and attracted wide attention from domestic and foreign scholars. This article begins with the analysis of Oates works by domestic scholars, analyzes the sources of violence, the impact of violence on individuals and society, and the role of women. Then I analyze some works of Oates from the perspective of foreign researchers. The main research directions are divided into several major parts: the relationship between men and women, the author's writing style and the problems reflected in her works. In the end, Oates's masterpiece “They” is analyzed. Oates shows humanism and feminist care in his works.
