河南省三大贫困地区之一的洛阳市前不久正式宣布,全市已有73万贫困人口摆脱了贫困。这是国家交通部在洛阳市十三年来坚持交通扶贫所取得的辉煌业绩。 洛阳市位于河南省西部,是我国历史文化名城和重要的新兴工业基地。全市现辖8县1市6区,总人口600多万,其中农业人口480万;全市总面积1.5万平方公里,其中山地丘陵面积占86.2％。栾川,嵩县,洛宁,汝阳,新安,宜阳,伊川7个县被国家交通部确定为重点扶持的贫困县。7个贫困县总人口340万,占全市总人口的58％;面积1.29万平方公里,占全市面积的85％。
Luoyang City, one of the three impoverished areas in Henan Province, formally announced recently that 730000 poor people in the city have got rid of poverty. This is the brilliant achievements made by the Ministry of Communications in insisting on traffic poverty alleviation in the past 13 years in Luoyang. Luoyang City, located in the western part of Henan Province, is a famous historical and cultural city in China and an important emerging industrial base. The city has 8 districts and 1 city and 6 districts with a total population of over 6 million, of which agricultural population is 4.8 million. The total area of the city is 15,000 square kilometers, of which 86.2% are mountainous hills. Luanchuan, Songxian, Luoning, Ruyang, Xin’an, Yiyang, Yichuan 7 counties identified by the Ministry of Transportation as the key support of poor counties. The total population of 7 poor counties is 3.4 million, accounting for 58% of the total population of the city. The area is 12,900 square kilometers, accounting for 85% of the city’s total area.
