9月14日,经最高人民法院批准,北京市第一中级人民法院对成克杰执行了死刑。成克杰曾任全国人大常委会副委员长、中共广西壮族自治区委员会副书记、广西壮族自治区人民政府主席。成克杰因单独或伙同情妇李平收受巨额贿赂,于今年7月31日被北京市第一中级人民法院判处死刑,剥夺政治权利终身,并处没收个人全部财产。成克杰不服,提出上诉。8月22日,北京市高级人民法院作出二审判决,维持原判。9月7日,最高人民法院核准成克杰
On September 14, with the approval of the Supreme People’s Court, Beijing No. 1 Intermediate People’s Court executed the death penalty against Cheng Kejie. Cheng Kejie served as vice chairman of the NPC Standing Committee, deputy secretary of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Committee, chairman of the People’s Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Cheng Kejie, alone or in tandem with his mistress, Li Ping, was subjected to huge bribes and sentenced to death by the Beijing No 1 Intermediate People’s Court on July 31 this year to deprive of political rights for life and to confiscate all personal property. Cheng Kejie dissatisfied, filed an appeal. On August 22, the Beijing Higher People’s Court made the second instance verdict and upheld the original verdict. On September 7, the Supreme People’s Court approved Cheng Kejie
