在很多工业领域，如航天、汽车、能源和制造等，对动力学、状态监恻和先进控制技术综合应用的要求越来越高，而这些技术在很多方面也是相互交叉的。将于1999年9月1～3日在英国曼彻斯特大学召开的这次国际会议，其宗旨就是促进上述技术领域各基础学科的理论研究和实际应用工作者之间的交流，为此，诚征上述有关领域的应用、设计、管理以及相关基础理论方面的论文、报告。
In many industrial fields, such as aerospace, automotive, energy and manufacturing, there is an increasing demand for the comprehensive application of dynamics, condition monitoring and advanced control technologies, which in many respects also cross each other.
