这首诗,写小官吏行役的苦恼,叹息他不能 回乡奉养父母。诗分五章。章五句,一、二章重调,三、四章重调,五章单独成篇。在重调的一、二章,三、四章中,均兴而比,比尤具有特殊意义,紧扣所赋的行役之事来对比,显示出诗的深刻性。首章的“四牡騑騑,周道倭迟”极写四马驾车奔驰在弯弯长长的大路上,而自己的行役自不待言。“岂不怀归?”一问,诗意翻腾,语言跳跃,振起全篇。为何如此,实以“王事靡”,官家的差遣没停止,老百姓的供给更可想而知。所以只落得“我心伤悲”。二
