Infection, especially Gram-positive bacteria, is the leading cause of morbidity and mortality in cancer patients. The authors summarize the bacteremia caused by gram-positive cocci in 57 patients with various malignancies within 4 and a half years and explore the causes, properties, treatments and effects of these microorganisms in cancer patients.
